Message for Men of God and Christians, By Rhiemen Omorogbe

It has stopped to amaze me how 'church-goers' always get into 'voltron' mentality at the slightest attempt to humanize their pastors (apostle, bishops or whatever grand title so chosen). It is almost as if you are taking away their life source & they have to fight with their last ounce of strength to stay alive.

However recent events has prompted me to at least put in writing, what I've always told a few friends over the years: "Worshiping your pastor will NOT grant you a place in heaven. ONLY CHRIST-like living would."

As much as I have respected & even admired a couple of pastors over the years, I cannot for the life of me hold any man, pastor, archbishop, or whatever title he goes by, in such high esteem that I place same above God.

Pastors may have accepted to serve in the vineyard, & might have a better understanding of the word, BUT, they are first & foremost, HUMANS.

Like the rest of us human, they breathe, eat, drink, sleep, fart, love, hate, rejoice, cry, stumble, triumph, have hard-ons & get wet, and as a result, have sex. Yes, they do have sex, and not holy sex, just sex.

Many of us in our blind search to access God directly have failed in seeking him through the only true way; the WORD. (John 1:1)

The WORD isn't the man that teaches about the WORD so eloquently, or does miracles through the power of the WORD. The WORD is Christ, and as christians, our only allegiance is to CHRIST.

The value of the wine is in the taste, not the bottle. But too many have failed to recognize that an empty bottle of champagne has less value than a glass of palm-wine.

STUDY to show yourself approved. Keyword: STUDY.
Study entails reading, research/reflection. Christians have become lazy in studying the WORD. Hence, have neglected the message & taken to idolizing the messenger.

Bibles are available 'everywhere', take time out to study it. Do not limit your encounter with the WORD to an hour (more or less) of church every Sunday. STUDY to show yourself approved.
Studying is not a one off exercise, it is a continuous & dedicated one.

My brethren, there's only ONE way to eternity... CHRIST.
