Airport security prevents another stowaway in Benin

Na wa for Nigerians, when one person does something bad successfully, some others want to do the same.

From DailyPost...

Barely two weeks after a 13-year-old boy, Daniel Oikhena, sneaked into an Arik Air flight’s tyre compartment from Benin to Lagos, airport security and men of the Department of State Security, DSS, at the Benin Airport in Edo State yesterday arrested a 27-year-old man who reportedly stowed into the airport runway with the intention of boarding an Arik flight to Abuja illegally.

It was gathered that the young man whose name we have not gotten yet was on Monday arrested lying flat close to the runway, while waiting for an Arik aircraft to land.

The chief Security Officer of the airport, Adeboye Festus, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect had confessed to the crime and currently in the custody of the DSS.

However, the suspect told airport correspondents that he was a psychiatric patient who was only trying to save his life by travelling to Abuja .
