Police to begin seizing cars with tinted windows

Driving in Lagos with tinted windows is against the law but some people do it because they get away with it. But not anymore says the Inspector General of police. He has directed state commissioners of police to start seizing cars with tinted windows and prosecute the car owners henceforth .

The directive is contained in a statement issued by Frank Mba, the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, today in Abuja

“Police Officers nationwide have been directed to commence a massive operation aimed at enforcing all existing laws bordering on tinted glasses and the use of unregistered/unlicensed vehicles. This unbecoming attitude has the capacity not only to heighten criminal activities but to place unnecessary pressure on security agencies and law abiding citizens

The IG wishes to remind Nigerians from all walks of life, including politicians, military and security personnel that the ban on unlawful and indiscriminate use of tinted glasses and legislation forbidding the plying of unregistered vehicles are still in force. He wishes to clearly state that the Nigeria Police will no longer tolerate few misguided Nigerians who abuse the use of tinted glasses and unregistered/unlicensed vehicles. Similarly, owners of unregistered/unlicensed vehicles are advised to immediately register them and obtain appropriate licences or withdraw them forthwith from public roads,” the statement read

EME is still my family : Wizkid

The March 2013 issue of Y! magazine is out! This edition is covered by artiste and new record label owner Wizkid – in an interview by Adedoyin Jaiyesimi and photos by Kelechi Amadi-Obi. Wizkid is styled by Tiannah Styling’s Toyin Lawani.

“As this magazine went to print, the rumours were just about confirmed in public and sources had certainly confirmed in private,” said Chude Jideonwo, its editor-in-chief. “The amazing talent powerhouse called Wizkid had aggressively parted ways with EME, the label powered by Banky W - interesting news in light of what he told us only weeks before.”

In the cover story titled ‘No kidding’, Wizkid speaks frankly about his background, the history of his music, the evolution of his sound and the people who have made him what he is now – including former manager Osagie Osarenkhoe and Empire Mates Entertainment boss Banky W.
The shoot was anchored by the iconic Kelechi Amadi-Obi, with styling by Toyin Lawani of Tiannah Styling.
As always, Y! magazine – reputed as “high priest of the youth culture” – is a fine mishmash of the trending topics for young Nigerians; in lifestyle, pop culture, fashion and a journey through the issues.
There are interviews with Tinsel’s Linda Ejiofor, Moet Abebe, Seyi Shay, Uru Eke, Ms. Jaie and others. As well as ‘Generation to Generation’ conversation with former ministerial nominee and executive director of the Sahara Group, Tonye Cole.
In addition, the magazine presents its annual ‘New Establishment’ list, profiling the most promising young Nigerians across the world – under the age of 35.
“Wizkid is, ultimately, just one of 50 young people below 35 carefully selected by our team of curators,” Jideonwo said. “As always our New Establishment list profiles young people who aren’t red carpet fixtures or necessary celebrities, but who define the spirit of the age and are set to shine in 2013.
And don’t miss Y!’s annual Sexiest list! The 2013 list features Africa’s Sexiest Man Alive and Africa’s Sexiest Women Alive – and the editors have a blast thinking and talking through bodies, torsos and all that beauty!
Y! is available in stores and from vendors across the country. It is also available at all House of Tara Stores in Lagos, Abuja, Ilorin, Port-Harcourt, Benin, Kano, Ibadan and Kaduna and with Y! campus representatives in 19 states.
You can also pay for the magazine with your mobile phone and have it delivered to you at no extra charge.

Charley boy's cousin Emeka Aseme is dead

Emeka Aseme 1st Son

This story is so dishearthening, two of our black brother's Emeka and Obinna (smalls) Aseme who school in Eastern Medieterrean university lose their father to hired assassin. i have pictures of the decomposed body but its too gory and alot of people will not have the stomach contain it thats why i cant put it up.

Left is Obi Aseme and his Brother in Cyprus

Charly Boy's cousin, Emeka Aseme, a business tycoon and a hotelier was forcefully taken away by gun wielding men during one of his visits to his 5-Star hotel in Oguta, Imo state on 24th February. Aseme's family managed to contact the abductors who demanded N8m ransom, which the family paid but Emeka was not released to them. On the 9th of March, the men who took the hotelier contacted his younger brother and directed him to go to a community between Owerri and Oguta called Okwonji, to find him brother. Emeka's decomposed body was found in a bush path, with his sexual organ , eyes and the heart plucked out.

HOW EMEKA WAS KILLED
An Oguta indigene who spoke with our reporter had disclosed that the suspects had allegedly confessed that they were hired to carry out the job by some hotel owners in Oguta whose businesses are gradually going down due to the stiff competition in the business, especially in Imo state. He alleged that “Security sources have revealed that many people from Oguta community have been fingered in relation to Emeka’s murder. His body parts were removed, eyes plucked out, heart removed. My brother, it’s a horrible sight. I don’t want to think about it. How can people be that callous?”

WHAT CHARLY BOYS SAYS ABOUT THIS
Charlyboy, AKA, AreaFada has reacted to the spate of killing in Imo state, particularly, the recent killing of his cousin, Emeka. Speaking with our correspondent in Abuja- Nigeria, the Areafada said “ I have never seen a thing like this since I grew up in Oguta. This is extreme barbarism. How can a man be so callous to his fellow man to the extent of removing different parts of his body until he finally gave up? This is unheard of. What is this country turning to? What era is this? As far as I know, no evil doer will go unpunished. Every evil committed by man to man must surely be redressed, if not now, certainly later, if not by man, then by God, for the victory of evil over good is temporary. We are waiting for the outcome of police investigation. After then, we will take the campaign to Oguta. We must agitate for peace. The peace that has eluded us must be returned. We are not known for this.

May the Good Lord grant the Aseme family the heart to bear the loss. Amen!!
Cyprus People Join in Prayers for our beloved friend and his Family!!

(Eternal rest grant unto them oh lord, and let Perpetual light shine upon us Amen)

White smoke: Pope elected on 2nd day of conclave

Rome (CNN) -- Cardinals meeting in the Vatican have chosen a new pope to lead the world's 1.2 billion Catholics. White smoke rose from the chimney on the Sistine Chapel Wednesday afternoon, signaling the election.

Bells also rang just after 7 p.m. (2 p.m. ET), confirming that the 115 cardinals had chosen the next pontiff. The decision happened after the fifth ballot cast since the conclave began Tuesday.

Crowds gathered in St. Peter's Square cheered to welcome the election of a new pope to succeed Benedict XVI.

The new pope Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina , who took the name Francis will dress in his new robes, and could make his first appearance within the hour.

Seventy-seven votes were required to confirm a new pontiff to step into the shoes left empty by the historic resignation of Benedict XVI at the end of last month.

We all welcome our new Pope, Pope Francis. May the good Lord bless you and show you the right way to lead us., Amen

Is Banky W Still Trying to Maintain Control? Wizkid is Still Signed to EME, We are “Re-negotiat(ing)”” – Banky W

The statement below has been attributed to Banky W in the past few days. Clearly a bunch of baloney, if he indeed made the statement.

There is no negotiation when, in the same statement, you say, “Wizkid has his own idea of how he wants to do things and he has plans for himself too.” This statement says it all.

The trust and mutual respect is gone. They both feel betrayed by each other.

At this stage, I am doubtful these two will reconcile. Oh well. Too bad, so sad. C’est la vie. We all keep it moving. On to the next one. Have we talked about Wizkid’s alleged 50/50 deal independent of his alleged 7 album contract deal that has led to this deteriorated situation with EME?

If not, I’ll hold off on it and let’s see if these two actually get back together then we can revisit that discussion.

“Wizkid is going international and as a result we have to re-negotiate the contract he signed. Wizkid has his own idea of how he wants to do things and he has plans for himself too. Wizkid is still with us, there’s no problem, things will be sorted out soon” Banky W told Silverbird.

Industry your thoughts and advice for the young and upcoming ones that may find themselves in this situation? I want to hear from artists and labels. It is hard running a business and many artists, without judging Wizkid, do come to the table with a sense of entitlement. But, an alleged 7 album contract deal? Wow!

Kukere Producer D’Tunes And Iyanya Part Ways

Talented producer and hit maker Adesanya Doyinsola better known as D’Tunes who has seen his stock rise for the past year is said to have parted ways with the “Kukere master” Iyanya and his record label Made Men Music Group (MMMG) after working with the label for over three years.

D’Tunes is credited for making three of Iyanya’s biggest hits off his second album ‘Iyanya Vs Desire‘ –the smash hit ‘Kukere‘, the follow up banger ‘Ur waist‘ and the third single ‘Flavour‘.

There are no concrete reason as to why both side split up but D’Tunes through his reps says he’s moving on to other tasks to accomplish as his work with MMMG was just a first step.

D’tunes has set up his own production and record label outfit called Difference Entertainment and he’s signed R&B-Pop singer Sean Tizzle who already released two tracks titled “Boogie Down” and “Sho lee“.

Kim K rushed to the hospital for exercising too much

Is too much exercise bad for pregnant women? I ask because pregnant Kim Kardashian was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday night after she felt ill. She thought she was having a miscarriage.

She was discharged a few hours later with her doctor supposedly telling her to slow down with the amount of exercise she's doing.

Kim is believed to be working out seven days a week and working with two different trainers in a bid to keep the pregnancy weight gain under control.

Woman Delivered Of 2 years and 1 Month Pregnancy

If you describe Mrs Oluwakemi Adeoye as the Biblical Deborah, you won’t be mistaken. She told us how she got a revelation and the names of her baby three days after marriage but did not see the manifestation until 14 years after.

Oluwakemi was born into a Baptist family and is very conversant with the word of God. Maybe her greatest assets are that she truly believes in God.  Fortunately also, her husband, Gbenga, belongs to the same Baptist denomination. She and her spouse are from Abeokuta, Ogun State. Their positions in their various families, however, before coming together in holy matrimony on Saturday, April 3rd 1999, seemed to add to the pressure of the need to have children soon after marriage.

Mrs Adeoye is the third of five children, but the first daughter while her husband, Mr Olugbenga Adeoye, is the first of six children and the only son. His five sisters are happily married and blessed with children.

Being a child that was brought up strictly with Christian doctrines, Mrs Adeoye, a graduate of the University of Jos, knew that she would have a baby, more so as God, according to her, had revealed to her in a vision that she would have a baby and gave her the names of the baby on April 6th, 1999, three days after her wedding.

Having met when Oluwakemi was in Form Four, and Gbenga in the polytechnic and had courted for 15 years, both understood each other and did not take the issue of not having a baby immediately after marriage too seriously.

It was not until the fifth year that they considered it a challenge and decided to seek medical and spiritual assistance. They were invited to churches for prayers. Their parents, especially Pa and Ma Adeoye, invited them to meet with pastors who ministered in their church, especially during special programmes. For a while, Mrs Adeoye attended deliverance programme of a church at Aremo area of Ibadan and was also invited by a colleague at work to attend God’s Voice Ministry programmes at Alakia area of Ibadan.

Her words: “I went to God’s Voice Ministry in September 2010 and I had menstruated that month. So, the woman in charge said I should wait till I see my menstruation in October to enable her to know my ovulation period. Alas! My menstruation refused to come that October.

“I visited big hospitals, mission hospitals and privately owned hospitals in Ibadan and they all said I was not pregnant. I had urine and blood tests including scan tests but they all turned out negative,” she revealed.

In December, however, Madam Evangelist Oluwasola, asked her to have a special test in her laboratory wherein the red blood cells were separated from the white blood cells, and that was it – the result revealed that she was pregnant. But by January 15th, 2011, she started bleeding and when she prayed, God told her that nobody could query Him and that the issue was long concluded, she would have a child.

By May 2011, she had bought all her baby things although she did not know the sex of the baby because God did not show her, so she bought unisex materials. She was becoming fatter but her tummy was not too big.
By July 2011, she had contractions, felt the baby’s movement but the hospitals declared that there was no baby in her tummy. In fact, a particular doctor told her that her fatness was obesity precipitate menopausal sign.
She sought spiritual assistance when she wrote Pastor Enoch Adeboye in September 2011 and he replied her through a SMS that she would soon share her testimony.

Mrs Adeoye became an object of ridicule when the baby refused to come in spite of the change in her physique but she was not bothered. By January 2012, she contemplated having a surgery to bring the baby out. She prayed and God gave her the go-ahead, warning her, however, that the doctors would be reluctant to carry out the surgery as there was no scan or test result to back the surgery. And so it was.

But as from March 2012, she had her menstruation regularly. Friends invited him and his wife to visit America, get some medication from India, consider remarrying or adopting a baby, but in it all, he was not led to take to any of the options because he believed they had not exploited all options.

His parents were constantly falling sick and he knew it was because of the issue. So, he advised them to put all their hope in God to behold the miracle as he was certain that God would bless them with children.

Mrs Adeoye menstruated till January 2013 and vomited everyday in January till she had the baby on January 15th in the night at the mission house.
“The delivery, though painful, was simple. I was not in labour for too long before I had the baby, may be three to five minutes and the baby came, a girl. And we christened her Emmanuela, Opelope-Jesu, Ite-Oluwa-kii-si Adeoye,” the new mother stated.

Mrs Adeoye, who noted that there was no rancour between her and her husband or her in-laws throughout their challenging period, urged all Christians to put their hope in God, adding “Whether you win or whether you lose, God is God. No matter how good or bad your situation, it will not change the fact that God is God. You cannot push God and He has no second in command. So, why not put your trust in Him?”
